The site uses a small consent record to remember your choice. Optional browser preferences remain off until you permit them. There are no analytics or advertising tags in this implementation.
Cookies and similar browser storage.
Cookies are small records a website can place in a browser. Local storage is a similar browser feature that persists between visits. This site’s consent controls cover the browser-storage features implemented in its own code.
Your browser may also receive essential delivery or security cookies from hosting infrastructure. These vary with the deployed hosting configuration. The operator must review that configuration and update this notice if additional categories are introduced.
What this site stores.
cbc-cookie-consent. First-party local storage. Records the notice version, necessary and preference choices, decision time and expiry. Used only to remember your choice. Expires after 180 days. No personal profile or chat text is stored.
cbc-assistant-open. Optional first-party local storage. Stores only a true or false value for the assistant panel’s open state. Written only with preference permission; removed when that permission is withdrawn. It has no independent expiry but is removed when the consent expires or becomes invalid.
Chat messages and enquiry text. Held in page memory only. Chat can be cleared, and reloading removes it. They are not placed in cookies or local storage.
Analytics and marketing. No optional analytics, advertising cookies, pixels or profiling scripts are installed by this implementation.
Accept, reject or manage.
Accept optional. Allows the optional assistant-panel preference. It does not authorise advertising, tracking or AI submission.
Reject optional. Keeps preference storage off. You can still browse, use the assistant and read every page.
Manage. Lets you choose preference storage separately. Necessary delivery and remembering your consent choice remain enabled.
Reopen Cookie settings from the footer to change your decision. AI-question submission is a separate, explicit choice inside the assistant. Cookie acceptance does not enable it.
You retain browser-level control.
You can clear cookies and site data through your browser settings. Removing the consent record causes the site to ask again. If browser storage is unavailable or blocked, choices still apply for the current page session and may be requested on another visit.
