For a privacy enquiry, request the registered Information Officer’s contact details from your CBC representative. The public website does not yet publish a direct privacy-contact address. The partnership enquiry tool creates a local brief and is not a channel for submitting a privacy request.

Browsing. The hosting and network services used to deliver the website may receive connection information such as IP address, requested URL, browser information and request time for delivery, reliability and security. Their operational logs are subject to their own retention and security arrangements.

Cookie preferences. A first-party browser-storage record saves your consent choice, notice version and expiry time so the site can respect your decision. It contains no name, email address or chat transcript.

Partnership brief. Text entered into the enquiry form stays in the current browser page. Copying transfers it to your device clipboard; the fallback creates a text file on your device. The form does not submit the brief to CBC or create a customer record.

Platform waiting list. When registration storage is enabled, submitting the form sends your contact details, location, participation role, stated interests and any optional demographic answers to the website server and its restricted database. This information is used to manage early-interest requests, plan participation and contact you about availability. Broader news and marketing permission is separate and optional.

Assistant questions. Source-based answers are produced in your browser from website content. If live AI is available and you expressly enable it, your question and a limited recent conversation are sent to the website server and its AI service for an answer. Do not enter identity numbers, passwords, banking details, health information or other sensitive personal information.

Analytics and advertising. This implementation includes no optional analytics or advertising tags. Hosting-provider measurement, if enabled separately, is not controlled by this browser consent component and must be reviewed by the website operator.

The AI provider, when configured, is named in the assistant before you enable AI answers. The implementation supports OpenAI or the Lovable AI gateway. The configured provider and its infrastructure may process information outside South Africa. The operator must ensure an appropriate lawful arrangement before enabling that service.

The AI request includes published website information as context. The server does not write questions or answers to a chat database, and conversations are not stored in browser local storage. Infrastructure or provider logs may still process request metadata. Provider retention requirements remain subject to the service contract and settings.

Closing the assistant keeps the conversation in page memory. Clearing the conversation or reloading the page removes that local chat history. The OpenAI connection requests response storage to be disabled; that setting does not promise the absence of all provider security or operational logs.

No payment, insurance underwriting, identity verification, account access, group administration or formal service application takes place through this public assistant.

Use Cookie settings in the footer to change or withdraw optional storage permission. The consent record expires after 180 days and is then requested again. Essential delivery and security functions remain available when optional choices are rejected.

Optional preference storage is disabled until you choose it. If permitted, the site can remember whether the assistant panel was open. Withdrawing preference consent removes that optional record. No chat messages are retained in it.

The assistant can be used in source-based mode without transmitting questions to an AI provider. Switching off AI answers stops future AI requests. It does not recall information already sent. Clear the conversation to start again without sending earlier messages.

CBC-specific retention periods for records collected outside this website are not defined by this notice. Request the relevant service notice before using an operational service.

Waiting-list information is retained while your request is active or while necessary to manage participation, then reviewed for deletion. You can request withdrawal, correction or deletion through CBC’s registered Information Officer via your CBC representative. Optional demographic answers can be left as Prefer not to say. The public list is for adults aged 18 or older, and joining does not require sensitive identity, financial, health or religious information.

Under applicable South African data-protection law, you may request access to information about you, correction or deletion where applicable, object to certain processing and withdraw consent where processing relies on it. Rights depend on the circumstances and lawful record-retention duties.

The website uses server-side handling for AI secrets and validates AI request sizes. No website or network can guarantee absolute security. Share only the information needed for your question.
