COMMON BOND CAPITAL

Common Bond Shields

Programmable coordination layers around real economic needs

Illustration of community economic activity

Shields convert group mandates into purpose-bound rules, money flows, provider participation, approvals, fulfilment evidence and reporting.

01 / SHIELD CONCEPT AND PORTFOLIO

One service architecture, multiple recurring and event-driven needs.

Shield concept. A Shield converts a common-bond mandate into rules, contributions, allocations, provider selection, approvals, benefit delivery, evidence and reporting for a defined purpose or economic corridor.

Portfolio. CBC’s portfolio includes Estate, Planned Events, Savings and Credit, Investment, Insurance, Emergency and Umbrella Shields, alongside Matshediso, the Insurance Premium Buffer Shield, the Wholesale and Retail Supply Chain Shield and the Credit Buffer Shield.

Role separation. The Shield orchestrates. Licensed and contracted parties retain underwriting, intermediation, payments, fulfilment and funding responsibilities.

02 / MATSHEDISO AND LOCAL FULFILMENT

Choose verified providers who understand the community.

The Phase 2 design enables a group administrator to select local providers from a verified network. Protection benefits can therefore connect to the real services required by the group and to approved fulfilment activity closer to the community.

03 / GOVERNANCE, APPROVALS AND PROTECTION

Digitise collective control over money and benefit execution.

Shield workflows can mirror group decision rules through multi-approval processes and controlled payout steps. Tagged funds, contribution records and audit trails reduce reliance on one person’s discretion and create evidence of how decisions were authorised and executed.

04 / PROVIDER AND INTERMEDIARY PARTICIPATION

Turn trusted community roles into recognised economic endpoints.

Local undertakers, caterers, transporters, traders and other providers can be onboarded into a verified operating network and build a digital service record. Where the required permissions and appointments exist, Digital Intermediary roles can create authorised distribution and servicing pathways.

Shared decisions. Visible control.

Team approvals and multi-approval payout steps reflect collective decision rules. Each authorisation becomes part of an attributable activity record.
